The humble beginnings of the Grade School Department commenced in 1985 with 356 pupils from grades I to III. On its second years, the administrators opened grades IV to VI as a response to the insistent demand of the parents. After its first graduation in 1987 with 50 graduates, the years that followed took a great flight with a remarkable increase in its enrolment.

In the same year, the Department was granted a government recognition by the Department of Education Culture and Sports (DECS). After 15 years of providing quality education, the Department submitted itself to an academic accreditation. In April 2002, the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) granted a Level II status for a period of three years. In 2005, the Department tendered itself for another accreditation visit. The PAASCU conducted a resurvey visit and granted re-accreditation status for a period of five years by FAAP.

The Grade School Department envisions itself as a core in the formation of the progressive mind and Christian character guided by the teaching of St. Augustine.

Provide effective instruction and foster Augustinian values leading to the development of intellectually competent, socially responsible and God-loving individuals.

The logo of the Grade School Department reflects how determined and optimistic everyone is in achieving an exceptional quality education despite the thorns that come along the way.
